Lubricant
A dry silicone lubricant will work wonders to keep your RV in good shape. Pick up a can and give all of your RVs moving parts a spritz to protect joints and hinges. This type of lubricant will help your RV components resist rust and repel grime.
Electric Drill
Having a small battery powered electric drill can be a lifesaver in many situations on the road. Much of your RV is screwed together, so having a drill or screwdriver with the right head can help in many situations, whether you’re trying to access your water pump or tighten down your rear ladder.
Wax
If you really want your RV to last, then it’s going to need special care. A coat of wax will help keep dirt and grit from piling up on your RV. UV protectant is also a good investment if your RV spends lots of time in the sun, as these products will help resist fading.
Tank Cleaners
Having the right cleaners and treatment products on hand can make your RV travel experience much less smelly. Make sure you keep some product on hand for waste treatment when you need to dump your black tank.
Multimeter
Keeping your batteries and electrical system in good shape is key. Use a multimeter to monitor your RVs voltage. A charge of 12.4 - 12.8 volts means your battery is healthy. If the voltage dips below 12V, then you’ve got a problem.
Whether it’s using a silicone lubricant to keep your hinges in working order, using wax to protect your RV’s chassis, or treating your tanks to keep them smelling fresh, keeping ahead of your RV upkeep will let you hit the road at a moment’s notice. If you run into a problem that needs professional attention, the experts at Pete’s RV PA are here to help. Bring your RV by our service department and we can get it repaired in no time. We also carry a range of RVs for sale if you are looking to upgrade. Our dealership is based in Mountville, Pennsylvania. We also proudly serve Hershey, Harrisburg, and York, Pennsylvania.
